Our Story     

The Insight Meditation Community of New Jersey was founded in 1994, and has had meetings first in Verona and then in several Morristown locations. From the beginning we have had weekly and monthly meetings to support our practices, and encourage each other. In 1999, we began meeting regularly at our home in Morristown. We gratefully acknowledge the generosity of all who come to our home and participate in group practice. We believe that our meditation fosters presence, wisdom and compassion, and  creates a gift that practitioners bring to themselves and to our community.
